Thomas Langley (b. London 1986) is a fine artist with an interdisciplinary practice
that includes painting, sculpture, performance, drawing and installation. Langley
completed his postgraduate diploma in fine art at the Royal Academy Schools in
London in 2018 and his bachelor of art at the University for the Creative Arts in
Canterbury, England, in 2010, between which Langley attempted a period of selfinitiated
studio development as a substitute for paid postgraduate study. He
currently lives and works between Lisbon and London.
Since 2016, Thomas Langley has had eleven solo exhibitions in galleries and
institutions both in Europe and in the UK, including Courage, MONO, Lisbon,
2020, Mummy’s Boy, Cob Gallery, London, 2019 and Just Like Anything, Marian
Cramer Projects, Amsterdam, 2018. He has also been included in over twenty group
exhibitions such as Summer (Winter) Exhibition, Royal Academy of Art, London,
2020, Out of Office, PADA, Lisbon, 2019 and Telescope, Jerwood Gallery,
Hastings, UK, 2019.
