28 Days in March is a film documenting Sweeney’s research project ‘+44 Leave a Message for Europe’. A project based around the 28 days leading up to the original Brexit date, Sweeney invited members of the public to become part of a permanent archive of public opinion, documenting a pivotal time in history. The archive footage and sounds from those 28 days have been made into a short film, 28 Days in March featuring messages left by members of the public including Gilbert and George and Vivienne Westwood.
